About the Author
Dr. Lynda J. Mubarak is a retired special education teacher, Army veteran, and adult ESL adjunct. She is a graduate of Texas Christian University, Texas Wesleyan University, and Nova SE University.

She is the author of seven books and was nominated as “Up and Coming Author” at the 2017 Indie Author Literary Awards for her first book, STATIONS. Carver Park, Maxine’s New Job, and Maxine Listens were certified as Great Reads in 2018-19 by the Reading With Your Kids Program. Maxine’s New Job won the prestigious Henri Award in the children’s category at the 2018 Christian Literary Awards.

Dr. Lynda was selected to be a featured author at the 2019 Telisoma Book Fair sponsored by the African American Museum of Dallas, TX.  Dr. Lynda and her Stations for Kids Books have established a lifetime partnership with the Community Food Bank of Fort Worth, TX to assist families in need.
